Seminar "Youth Policy and Youth Employment in South East Europe"

The issue of un/employment for young people remains one of the crucial challenges for youth policy in the countries of South East Europe.

This seminar aims:


1. to reveal the main problems young people are facing regarding employment in the societies of South East Europe and seek for opportunities for young people;

2. to contribute to the political debate as well as the policy development and its implementation for managing and improving the situation of employment and employability of young people in the SEE region and, consequently, in the existing and enlarging European Union.

The seminar is organised jointly by the Office for Youth of the Republic of Slovenia, the Youth Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe and the SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre.

SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre - Who are we?

The SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre is one of eight SALTO Resource Centres which have established by the European Commission to support the implementation of the Youth in Action Programme in different priority areas. SALTO stands for Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities.

The SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre has been hosted by the YOUTH/Youth in Action National Agency MOVIT NA MLADINA since April 2002. It aims to facilitate and increase the participation of the Youth in Action Programme Countries and the countries of South East Europe.

The centre offers support and training for Youth in Action National Agencies and project organisers to promote co-operation and improve the quality of projects between Programme Countries and the SEE region.

ENYC - Approved Grant A 4.1 - Youth in Action - Support of bodies active at European level in the field of youth

As announced at the ENYC General Assembly in Kosice last February 2011, the bid for a grant for Youth in Action, Subaction 4.1 "Support of body active at European level in the field of youth" was approved.
We are very pleased about these good news.
